Description: Learn the basics of extemporaneous debate, starting from the format of American parliamentary debate to framing/modeling a round to structuring argumentation. Students will participate in a variety of debate-related activities, games, and full on practice debates using Yale's Urban Debate League parliamentary variation to gain a beginner understanding of what debate is and how to excel at it. Ages 9+. Please have a notebook, as well as a computer with a webcam and microphone.
