2010 Chinese New Year Celabration on Feb 21

On the Sunday, Feb. 21, we will have Chinese New Year Show 2010 at Lyman Center . Chinese school at Engleman Hall will open at regular school hour 1:20pm. Lyman Center will be for dropping off only. Parents must park their car in the normal Chinese school parking lot - Engleman Hall parking lot and come in from regular Engleman Hall A-wing door. The Engleman Hall C-wing door will be open on Feb 21 for easy access to Lyman Center. Please see attached location information file. All SCCS students need to pick up their free show tickets at their teacher after Chinese Culture Lecture at room C112. Parents pick up their free member tickets at PTA desk at room C112. 11 am - 2 pm: Stage final dress rehearsal, all performing students will go to Lyman Center for rehearsal. All performers will sit in a designated area. 12 pm: Book/culture craft fairs open at Lyman center. Parents are encouraged to arrive early at 12:30pm to go to the book / craft fairs. 1:30pm - 2:10pm: Chinese New Year Culture lecture in Room C112C for everyone who is not performing. Students, teachers and parents are required to attend and sit by class together. Parents must stay with your kids. 2:10pm C 2:30pm: PTA distributes Free Tickets to Teacher and Parents after lecture. Each family should stay together after everyone got the ticket. Family should go together with the class of the youngest kids. 2:30pm - 2:45pm: Chinese school seating in Lyman Center . Students and parents should obey teachers arrangement. Parents can help teacher, but not disturb teachers authority before marching to the Lyman Center . When arrived, please sit in the designated area. Important: Teacher is OFF duty after the class is seated. Parents must stay with your kids during the show. Everyone need show ticket to enter Lyman Center . Children not attending SCCS will need to BUY the tickets. No flash lights at the show when taking photos. No video recording allowed for public. If anyone want to have a DVD of the show, have to do pre-order at school. No cell phone use at the show. Please put in silent mode. ------------------------------------------- Day of Events Feb 21, 2010 Sunday 9-11 am: Lyman Center staff setting up the book fair tables, control room equipments. 11am - 12pm: Book Fair & Craft vendors setting up tables 11 am - 2 pm: Stage final dress rehearsal 12 pm (noon): Center lobby open to the public, the box office selling tickets. Book/culture fair starts. 12 - 6 pm Book /culture fairs 1 pm - 2:30 pm, B120/B121 working lunch service for performers/staffs (Pizza, Bao Zi, noodles, bottled water) **12:30 pm C 1:20pm: Parents are encouraged to arrive early to go to the book fair and/ craft fair. **1:20pm - 2:30pm Chinese school open at regular time, **1:20pm - 2:30pm Chinese school 2 free parents tickets pick up at PTA in Room C112 **1:30pm - 2:10pm Chinese New Year culture lecture in Room C112 **2:10pm - 2:30pm PTA distribute free show ticket to SCCS student by teacher. Get ready to leave. **2:30pm - 2:45pm Chinese school seating in Lyman Center. Teacher is OFF duty after the class is seated. 2:30 pm - 3:00pm: All audience setting 3:00 pm - 6:00pm Show time and then clean up the back dressing room. 6:00 pm: Theater closed to public 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Lyman Center crew taking off the equipments. 7:00 - 11:00 pm: Cleaning the theater by custodians Happy Spring Festival to All!
