Job Posting for PRINCIPAL OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT CHINESE SCHOOL Southern Connecticut Chinese School, originally named Yale-New Haven Chinese Community School, was established in 1995. The school is mainly focused on the teaching of Chinese language, plus additional enrichment programs. The school is currently looking for a principal to provide overall leadership. The term is one year (pending approval by general members for this bylaw change). This individual needs to demonstrate strong leadership skills and great passion for serving the school. Responsibilities: Identify high-quality teachers and inspire excellence in them Always put the education and the well-being of the students first Recruit vice principals Work with PTA and be accessible and responsive to parent Work collaboratively with teachers to improve the students�� Chinese language and enrichment program achievements Exhibit flexibility and willingness to accept changes when needed Communicate with the school board on a regular basis Be able to build good public relationship (including the personnel in charge of SCSU facility) Qualifications: Strong passion for serving the Chinese community Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and with effective organizing ability With some administration/leadership experiences in school system Some teaching experience preferred Southern Connecticut Chinese School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
