Description: This class is designed to help young students to improve their writing. They will keep a journal, which is intended to overcome mental blocks and open up to them the myriad creative choices in writing. Together, we will also learn a technique for brain storming and then practice organizing and refining their ideas to produce a coherent and complete piece (essay, poem, story, memoir, etc.) There will be some homework, but my main intention is to improve the writing they will do for their regular school work.
