Description:	Teacher: Jingrong Wang This is my 6th year teaching non-heritage class in SCCS. Totally it is more then 12 years working with non-heritage Chinese learning kids. I totally understand the challenges of the non-heritage learning students' family face. Through this class, we will provide the students with proper material and help, therefore there is no requirement for Chinese speaking parents' involvement at home. The student will have enough tool to learn by themselves. Our goal is to build a friendly learning environment, everyone feel comfortable to practice in class and get equal opportunity to practice at a comfortable level during class. Individual goal of each student to make progress based Chinese learning background. Textbook: My First Chinese Reader book 4 2nd half. This set of book focus on basic Chinese vocabulary and basic sentence structures. Each book has similar topics, but extend the complexity year by year. The class will be taught in both English and Chinese . All text book content will be explained in English. Weekly detailed class summary will be provided to parents. Both reading and written homework will be assigned weekly. We focus on reading and character recognition. All homework will be corrected by recording or written format.
